Errol Jay Kirsch Architects designed this modern house in the historic Oak Park district near Chicago. Oak Park was the place of
Frank Lloyd Wright and contains many of his
residences and
other projects.
The masonry mass provides heat mitigation and windows are designed to pick up solar gain. The tall chimney at the top seems to be for a heat stack strategy. It was built in the late seventies.
