Larry Oltmanns of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill designed the Dallas Convention Center. It was completed in 1957 and an addition designed in 2005. George L. Dahl, Harrell & Hamilton, oschky, Marquardt, & Nesholm, and Omniplan designed various additions.
It now has over a million ft2 or exhibition space , with an arena and theater. A vast hotel was recently built on a site next to the convention centre that now spawls all over the place.
