Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, Seoul South Korea

OMA with Rem Koolhaas designed the Samsung museum in Seoul, Korea, including the Child Education and Culture Center, completed in 2004. Mario Botta and Jean Nouvel designed the other buildings in the art complex.

The lobby that unites these sections is reached by a descending ramp to a basement. Circulation goes around the large concrete box, with a variety of experiences, materials, views, and light levels. The masterplan for this was conceived in 1994, with media centers, office space, and exhibition spaces.
