Samuel Ware designed the Burlington Arcade near Piccadilly in London UK, completed in 1819. It is located behind Bond Street from Piccadilly through to Burlington Gardens. The Victorian Mannerism front was added in the 20th century.
Seventy-two shops lined the covered walkway with skylights above. Careful attention was made to the rhythm of the repetitive skylights and arched structures. It's the longest covered pedestrian shopping streets in London.
