The Customs House in Sydney Australia was constructed in 1844 for the Customs Service, and refurbished in 2003 as it was transformed into the City of Sydney Library. MakMax and Chris Bosse of LAVA created the Green Void sculpture in the front atrium, which closed earlier this year.

A scale model of Sydney's Central Business District sits below the glass floor in the atrium, expounding the building's history in the regional government. Other art exhibits and interesting architectural elements bring a modern touch to Australia's built history.
