Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector - BB cream review

There has been a lot of talk lately about BB creams. I have been researching them and find them really interesting. When Garnier invited me to an event for the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector - BB cream, I was definitely excited.

A BB cream stands for blemish balm, a soothing cream that was first developed in the 50's and used by dermatologists in Germany to help calm, soothe and heal a patients skin after surgical procedures, treating post laser scars, acne and blemishes.

BB cream's in the last few years have become popular particularly in Asian countries. Garnier are the first brand to release a BB inspired cream in Australia.

Garnier says: Miracle Skin Perfector delivers a hybrid formula that combines long-lasting 24hr hydrating care with a light touch of make-up for instantly flawless, healthy glowing skin.  Its lightweight formula contains a unique mix of active ingredients including vitamin C, SPF15 UV filters and mineral pigments.  Applied daily, Miracle Skin Perfector spreads evenly for a flawless finish without the heaviness of a foundation. Instantly skin is beautified, hydrated and protected.

I have been testing out the Garnier BB cream provided for review, for the last few weeks and am impressed. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream is an all in one product which offers many benefits, all in the one cream!

The five instant benefits it provides are:

1. Hydrate for 24hrs
2. Even tone
3. Correct blemishes
4. Boost healthy glow
5. SPF 15 protection

The Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream comes in a 50ml squeeze tube, easy to use and handy to use when travelling. The texture is thick gel-like cream, that is soft, lightweight, easy to blendand soaks into the skin within seconds. It feels very hydrating on the skin, definitely gives a instant dewy glow to the skin, evens out skintone and reduces my redness.

I have combination skin, so depending on my day if my t-zone is oily this can come up shiny on my skin, which I set with a powder (or using less product can reduce the shine). The coverage of the cream is light, so when I have acne or blemishes (particularly around my jawline) I use a concealer or lightly add foundation to cover them up.

This has spf 15 in it, which is great that there is sun protection, as my skin is sensitive to the sun, I put a sunscreen underneath for the added spf. You can also use this as primer under foundation, when needing more coverage.

You can definitely feel that this cream is great for the skin - hydrating, smooth and soft, with vitamin C as well! It is fantastic that it covers my redness really well. It has a floraly fragrance that is noticeable, but don't smell it once it is applied to the skin. There are two shades to choose from light and medium. I am very fair, so I use the light shade. It is still a tad dark, but if blended really well I can get away with it.

This Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream, is a definite must have in my collection. It is great to use on days, when you don't want to wear foundation and just want a light coverage. Also great for those that don't have time to put on moisturiser, sunscreen, foundation separately - this is a all in one and works well with evening out the skintone, reducing redness and hydating the skin. Very affordable at $13.95AUD and available in supermarkets and department stores.

ADRIANA LIMA FOR BLUMARINE FALL 2011 CAMPAIGN

Adriana Lima for Blumarine Fall 2011 campaign

                                                                       About Blumarine….
Designer Anna Molinari and her late husband, Gianpaolo Tarabini, started the Blumarine line in 1977 in Carpi, Italy, where the company’s headquarters are still located today. Blumarine’s clients are Sharon Stone, Brittany Murphy, Kate Winslet, Carmen Electra, Christina Ricci.
Here is a few pictures of Brumarine from Milan fashion week - fall 2011

Edgy and classy at the same time...

Victoria Secret’s model, Adriana Lima became a new face for Blumarine fall 2011 campaign. She looks drop-dead gorgeous in sexy see-thru and animal prints mini-dresses and sexy high heels. The best part of this collections is that the pieces presented by Blumarine can be easily transformed from a day into an evening wear. It is hard not to notice her bright red lipstick, that goes so well with sexy leopard print dresses. I think most of these pieces are very wearable and quite versatile for different occasions.

Would you go for this look? Or you find it too edgy? What do you think about this collection?

Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Collection- Shampoo, Conditioner, Treatment and Oil Review

There has been a lot of talk lately, about using Moroccan Argan Oil for the hair. Argan oil is a powerful ingredient that is rich in antioxidants and vitamins. It instantly penetrates the hair shaft, restoring shine while strengthening and increasing hair’s elasticity and protects hair from UV damage.

Organix have now come out with the Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Collection, which I was very keen to try and excited that I was sent this collection to review. I love the packaging, the blue and gold colours look gorgeous together and the bottles are so cute, they are wide with a gold flip top.

Organix say:  Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner, will restore moisture to dry hair, protect from styling heat and UV damage while creating soft, seductive, silky perfection.

Shampoo: The smell of this product is gorgeous, a soft subtle floral smell . The texture of the shampoo is soft and silky. It lathers well. After washing my hair it left my hair feeling really clean, squeaky clean.

Conditioner: The conditioner has the same gorgeous floral smell as the shampoo, which is beautiful. It is subtle and fades after washing, but smells nice when washing the hair. The texture of the conditioner is a lightweight cream that glides onto the hair, leaving it soft and smooth. I usually leave the conditioner in my hair for two minutes or so.

Using both the shampoo and conditioner together, it did leave my hair feeling soft and smooth. A beautiful result for my normal to dry hair (dry from colouring it too much!). I also found that this left my hair cleaner longer, usually by day two my hair gets oily roots, but I find after using the Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner my hair is good until about day three. Both are safe to use on coloured hair and are free of sulphates, phosphates, and parabens.

Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment - Organix says: Renew your hair's inner health with argan oil nutrients, antioxidants, and Vitamin E. Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment is a deep conditioning, exotic formula to add brilliant shine and create lush softness without leaving any heavy residue which can weigh hair down.

The Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment comes in a tub and also has a gorgeous floral scent. The texture is similar to the conditioner, creamy, soft and easy to apply. I apply this to my hair and leave it in for 3 minutes, you can also apply a shower cap on top. This made my hair soft and reduced my frizziness, which is great. This can be used instead of the conditioner.

Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Oil
- Organix says: This rare, ultra light weight formula is nature's secret to silky perfection! Derived from the southwest region of Morocco, argan oil instantly penetrates the hair shaft to seal in shine and protect from styling heat and UV damage. Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Oil fights frizz, strengthens and moisturises dry, brittle hair to give you smooth sexy tresses.

The Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Oil comes in a squeeze bottle with a flip top and is a thin, lightweight oil, that also has a light nice smell. I apply it to my towel dried hair working it through my ends. It gives excellent results, soft, smooth and shiny hair. It also controls my frizziness and keeps the hair feeling moisturised.

The Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil collection has worked well on my normal to dry hair. I have fine hair but a lot of it and my hair is short. These products leave the hair feeling soft, smooth and control frizziness. The key to using these products is to ensure that you leave them in the hair for a few minutes, ie conditioner, treatment, and the oil is great to have for any hair type.

The Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Collection is available in Australia from Coles, Chemist Warehouse, My Chemist and selected pharmacies. They are affordable too.

Have you tried any shampoos from the Organix range? Would you try a morrocan argan oil shampoo and conditioner?

Quick and easy potato bake recipe

Tonight's dinner was a quick and easy potato bake, that I wanted to share with you. The recipe is so simple, it only has three ingredients.

2kgs Potatoes, bacon (approx 300g) and Bulla thickened cream (600ml).

I peel the potatoes, and cut them in thin slices. I layer the potato slices in an ovenproof dish that has been lightly greased (I use spray oil). I also layer on top of the potatoes chopped bacon pieces and keep on layering with potato and bacon, until I have reached the top of the dish. (you can also add onion pieces if you like).

I then pour the thickened bulla cream over the potatoes, evenly. I then place the dish in a pre heated 180 degrees oven for forty minutes to bake uncovered.

Once it is ready, I let it sit out for about fifteen minutes to cool down and then it is ready to eat. I sometimes serve it with some meat or on it's own. My kids love it!
Have you tried a potato bake, how do you make it? Do you have a quick and easy dish that you like to cook?

WALLPAPER MISS ITALY Stefania Bivone

Obviously we don’t know much about this Miss Italy competition, not that it really matters, but what we do know is that some Stefania Bivone hottie won it a couple of days ago. Good for her. Considering how sexy Stefania looked on these pictures we have no doubts that she’s going to make an excellent career for herself. Maybe even as a TV personality girl. We all know that those girls are just too hot.
