Copenhagen Business School CBS, Kilen Frederiksberg Denmark

Lundgaard and Tranberg Arkitekter and Marianne Levinsen designed the new Danish Business School "The Wedge" Kilen in Copenhagen. The new faculty building was completed in 2005 on the site of an old railroad yard. The structure rests like an angular prism that clashes with an organic earthy shape. Copper sun screens, crisp interior black stone, and warm interior wood are carefully composed.

The layers of each story are carved out like an underwater cave with spotty skylights above. The other school's buildings have more traditional shapes coming together in a slick and business-like aesthetic. The following video shows the marriage of modern international business and the architectural strategies.
