Estação Cabo Branco, João Pessoa Paraíba Brazil

Oscar Niemeyer designed the White Cable Station in João Pessoa Brazil, completed in 2008. The wavy yellow building and the concrete circular ramp recall his Caminho de Oscar Niemeyer and Niterói museum. The white ramp winds up to the octagonal building clad in mirrors. That building rests on a central column with a lake beneath, another typical modern device Niemeyer often uses. The yellow auditorium for 500 people stands nearby, and an amphitheater for 300 is found in the far corner. The complex of five buildings has great views over the Cabo Branco Point.
