Banana Boat Aloe Mist After Sun Spray review

We have had quite a few hot days here in Australia these past few weeks and the sun is really hot. I am a huge sunscreen user as I am really fair and my skin burns so quickly. I love using the Banana Boat range of sunscreens and a great product that I love is the Banana Boat Aloe Mist After Sun Spray.

This is a must have after sun spray to use if you have been sunburnt or have had a long day out in the heat and want to cool down your skin. The Aloe Vera is a great ingredient to use for healing the skin.

Banana Boat says: For refreshing after sun care. Banana Boat Aloe Mist After Sun Spray contains Aloe Vera which cools and soothes overexposed skin.
Its unique formulation conditions and moisturises the skin and gives you the refreshing after sun relief you need. Regular use will keep your skin soft and supple year round, ‘No-touch’ application, Available in 250mL pump spray bottle.

If you forget to put sunscreen on certain areas of your body like the chest, neck or arms and you have some sunburn or red skin from the sun, this is great to spray on those areas and it will cool your skin. It is easy to use just spray and leave it on, after a few seconds it is absorbed into the skin and gives you a refreshing feeling.

You can keep this in the fridge so when you use it, it is even cooler. It has a nice smell and you can use it on your face too! My husband and children use this too and they feel the difference it makes on the skin.

The Banana Boat Aloe Mist After Sun Spray comes in a 250ml bottle and retails for $7.95 from supermarkets or department stores. I highly recommend this to everyone, you will love it too!

How do you stay cool in the hot weather? What sunscreen do you use?

Four tips to keep your makeup fresh in Summer

It is officially Summer here in Australia. The weather will start warming up soon and it will be hot. The one thing that is really annoying is when makeup doesn't stay on, because of the heat.

There are some really great products to look out for, to help keep your makeup on in summer.

Here are my tips on how to keep your makeup fresh in Summer:

1. Wear a primer - a primer applied after you day moisturiser, will help to even out your skintone and helps your foundation 'stay put' -  great for hot weather.

2. Choose a lightweight foundation or tinted moisturiser - the lighter the makeup the better you will feel in the heat. If you find your makeup is too light, set your foundation with some loose powder foundation to give more coverage.

3. Use a makeup setting spray - once you have applied all your makeup up, spray some makeup setting spray it is designed to set your makeup, leaves you looking fresh and your makeup should stay on all day.

4. Use blotting paper - they are affordable and you can get great travel sized ones, that you just press on your shiny areas of your face and the powder coated blotting papers will absorb it.

Of course everyone is different, so what may work for some may not work for others, but they are worth a try. Also to be considered is your skin type and the makeup you are using. Try what works best for you and don't forget to wear SPF sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun - most important!

What works best for you in Summer to keep your makeup on? Do you have some great products that you like to use in Summer?

Rexona Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Review

With summer fast approaching here in Australia, it is definitely the time to try out some great deodorants that last all day and give you great protection. Rexona Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant is that latest that Rexona has released in deodorants. I love my Rexona Musk deodorant.

I never use roll on deodorants, I prefer a spray deodorant. The Rexona Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant was definitely a product I wouldn't normally try. But I have and I love it!

Rexona says: Clinical strength wetness and odour protection for heavy duty sweating. 48 hour antiperspirant deodorant cream.

The Rexona Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant comes in a plastic 45ml bottle and is used by turning the bottom dial until the cream comes out of the top. The texture is a soft cream, when applied to the skin feels nice and dries pretty quickly. It is to be applied at night.

This has tri-solid body response technology which absorbs the odour and works at night. The next day this holds up extremely well. Even after going for a walk, looking after my kids and just doing the usual stuff, I don't sweat as I usually would. It really does protect and you don't have to reapply for 48hrs. Even after wearing it for one day and then having a shower, it still does provide protection, although I do apply this every night.

The Rexona Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant really does work for me. It comes in a women's and men's version. I bought the men's one for my husband and he was amazed at how well it works on him.

I would recommend this to anyone that sweats a lot or for those really hot days, this would work best.
The Rexona Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant is sold in supermarkets and retails for around $14aud, but is usually on sale for about $10aud. A great one to try for women and men.

Have you tried this? Would you try a cream based deodorant?

Sequins and Sand - online shopping for all your swimwear needs!

I recently discovered an online summer fashion site that I wanted to tell you about as it offers women a fantastic selection of resortwear and swimwear, it is called Sequins and Sand.

I was interested in this site as I find shopping for swimwear is the hardest fashion clothing to shop for. I’m just really fussy when it comes to choosing swimwear as I am sure a lot of women are too.

The Sequins and Sand website offers a great range of colours, style and variety in swimwear and accessories for sizes 10-22.

The founder Anita McLachlan was frustrated at the lack of suitable swimwear that catered for women of all sizes and age so she started the site Sequins and Sand.

Anita says ‘Instead of sticking to just one or two cover-ups, we have an exceptional variety in kaftans, swimwear, summer dresses, summer basics and hard-to-find pieces to suit all body shapes. Each item is hand picked for its fabric, fit and flexibility'.

Sequins and Sand is a online website that is easy to navigate and reasonably priced. There are lots of styles to choose from and a great range of products like Swimdresses, Bikinis, Sarongs, Rash Vests, Jewellery, Beach bags and so much more.

They ship worldwide and have a returns policy that is easy to follow.

So if you find it hard to find the right swimwear and want something that is great quality and style check out their website Sequins and Sand, they are also on Facebook, Twitter and You Tube.

Do you find it difficult to buy swimwear?

Neutrogena Healthy Defence daily moisturiser SPF 30+ review

I've been using the Neutrogena Healthy Defence daily moisturiser SPF 30+ and I really like it, I have just bought my second bottle. I always look for a moisturiser that has SPF in it because we all know that protecting your skin from sun damage is a must all year round!

The Neutrogena Healthy Defence SPF 30+ day moisturiser is lightweight, absorbs quickly into the skin, and is non greasy. It also contains vitamins E, A and C which is great for hydrating your skin.  It contains spf 30 and helioplex technology which is a sunscreen complex that helps to prevent daily sun damage.

The packaging is compact and easy to use. Once you unscrew the top it has a tip. You only need to squeeze a little amount to cover your whole face. It feels soft, light and fresh on the skin. This is great for under makeup just wait a few minutes before applying your foundation on top so that it is completely absorbed into the skin. The moisturiser has a pretty light fragrance which is nice.

The Neutrogena Healthy Defence daily moisturiser SPF 30+ comes in a normal/combination moisturiser or combination/oily moisturiser. Great for any skin type. I have combination skin that tends to get oily rather than dry so I use the combination/oily moisturiser.

The Neutrogena Healthy Defence daily moisturiser retails for $16.00 aud from department stores or supermarkets.

This is a great day moisturiser that will protect your skin from the sun all year round and at the same time provide hydration for your skin that you need.

Do you use a day moisturiser? Do you look for SPF in your moisturiser?
