Kio Kio body care range - body lotion and body mist review

If your looking for a luxurious product that you will fall in love with straight away, it will definitely be the Kio Kio range!

I had never heard of Kio Kio so was interested to see what they were like and straight away I can tell you -  they are beautiful.

Kio Kio says: Kio Kio is made in New Zealand using the purest, softest, organic spring water, filtered through pristine mountain ranges. This water is combined with potent native botanical extracts and certified organic ingredients, creating luxurious, unique, natural bodycare.

  

The first product I tried is the Rainforest and Koromiko body lotion. The scent is described as Fragranced like a morning walk in the forest after it has rained. Koromiko renews and smoothes stressed skin. Koromiko was traditionally used in ritual ceremonies, as well as for healing skin complaints.

  
The product comes in a 240ml sturdy bottle with a pump for easy dispensing and the lotion is a really nice creamy texture, non greasy that moisturises the skin and feels hydrated for hours. It absorbs quite quickly and has a beautiful light scent that lingers on the skin and is gorgeous. 

I also tried the Kio Kio Pacific Tiare and Ti Kauka body mist. The scent is described as white flowers and citrus combine in this sparkling Pacific Ocean fragrance. Sweetly scented Ti Kauka is naturally cleansing and nurturing for the skin. Ancient people regarded this palm tree as a plant of good luck and fertility. It was traditionally used to heal skin.

The Body Mist comes in a 240ml bottle with a spray applicator. The body mist applies beautifully to the skin, once I spray it on I rub it in a little and it feels smooth and soft. The light scent leaves the skin feeling and smelling so pretty.

Overall the Kio Kio range is fantastic and a beautiful way to look after our skin knowing that the products are all natural made from natural bio active ingredients.

I recommend them for any skin type as they are light and absorb quite well. Rexona Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Review

With summer fast approaching here in Australia, it is definitely the time to try out some great deodorants that last all day and give you great protection. Rexona Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant is that latest that Rexona has released in deodorants. I love my Rexona Musk deodorant.

I never use roll on deodorants, I prefer a spray deodorant. The Rexona Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant was definitely a product I wouldn't normally try. But I have and I love it!

Rexona says: Clinical strength wetness and odour protection for heavy duty sweating. 48 hour antiperspirant deodorant cream.

The Rexona Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant comes in a plastic 45ml bottle and is used by turning the bottom dial until the cream comes out of the top. The texture is a soft cream, when applied to the skin feels nice and dries pretty quickly. It is to be applied at night.

This has tri-solid body response technology which absorbs the odour and works at night. The next day this holds up extremely well. Even after going for a walk, looking after my kids and just doing the usual stuff, I don't sweat as I usually would. It really does protect and you don't have to reapply for 48hrs. Even after wearing it for one day and then having a shower, it still does provide protection, although I do apply this every night.

The Rexona Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant really does work for me. It comes in a women's and men's version. I bought the men's one for my husband and he was amazed at how well it works on him.

I would recommend this to anyone that sweats a lot or for those really hot days, this would work best.
The Rexona Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant is sold in supermarkets and retails for around $14aud, but is usually on sale for about $10aud. A great one to try for women and men.

Why should I take vitamins?

I always try to eat a healthy well balanced diet (although I am not a vegetables person!), but that is not always possible. Sometimes just being too busy and not having enough time means I don't always get a healthy balanced diet everyday. So I have always taken vitamins for years now, to ensure that I am not deficient in anything.

My essentials that I take daily are a multivitamin and fish oil supplements. Depending on what else is going on with my body I will look at other supplements, for example if I feel I am tired all the time and have no energy I will take a Vitamin B supplement.

Blackmores is a brand that I trust and use for many of my vitamins. I usually buy my vitamins from supermarkets or priceline and wait for the sales to stock up on what I need.

I always take a multivitamin everyday to ensure that I have the daily vitamins and minerals I need for the day. The Blackmores Women's Vitality Multi is great as it has vitamins that are tailored for womens needs. I also buy the Blackmores Men's Performance Multi for my husband and he likes it too.

Recently I have been using the Women's De-Stress which I like as it helps to support the nervous system particularly in times of stress. Who isn't stressed these days?! So it's great to give your body extra support when dealing with exhaustion and stress.

A few weeks ago I woke up with a sore throat and knew I was starting to get a cold. So I started that day to use the Cold and Flu Day/Night I took one tablet three times during the day and one at night. These work instantly by the end of the first day I could feel my body trying to fight off the cold. After a few days I felt better and never got a cold. Excellent result!

These are what I have used recently and would recommend.

I am currently trialling the Blackmores Nails Hair and Skin tablets - will let you know once I've reached the twelve week mark my results, so far they are great.

I have been using this for a few weeks now and really like the results. I wear a lot of black tops but usually wear a jacket on top or cardigan just in case. But after using this deodorant I could wear my black tops on their own as there was no white marks.
 
I do have a few white and light coloured tops but don't wear them often as I am conscious of staining. This deodorant definitely has prevented yellow staining.
 
To use this you spray it 15cm away from your underarm, wait a few seconds for it to dry and then put your top on. It has a nice, clean scent that was not overpowering and the deodarant is clear when applied. The packaging is convenient for travelling and a great size with a slightly curved shape so you can grip the can well.

This deodorant also claims to have a 48hour anti perspirant protection however I did find that I needed to reapply again at the end of the day.

As a protectant for black and white clothes this works really well. The Nivea Invisible for Black and White aerosol deodorant retails for $4.95aud and is available in a roll-on. Also there is a Nivea for men range.

Garnier Body Intensive 7 days Honey Soothing body lotion review

Looking for the right body lotion for your body? Need hydration for your skin? I have found that answer with the Garnier Intensive 7 days body lotion range. I received a few of these at the recent bloggers brunch I attended and I absolutely love them!

I have been trialling the Soothing Lotion with Honey for dry, sensitive skin and it really has made a difference to my skin. It is so much more smoother and moisturised.

The Garnier Body Intensive 7 days body lotions come in 400ml bottle, which will last a good few months. The packaging is convenient slim bottle, great for travelling as well. The texture of the cream is really beautiful, when you rub it into your skin it feels smooth and silky and does not leave my hands greasy. It also absorbs really quickly which is excellent, literally after about a minute or so I can put my clothes on. I have never found another body product that is absorbed that quickly. Love it!

The lotion has a minor fragrance to it which is beautiful, the one I have been using is the honey one. The result it gave me was very well moisturised, smooth and strong skin. Even if I didn't use this for a few days, my skin felt hydrated which is fantastic. The range suits all skin types - normal skin, dry skin ( dull,rough, sensitive), extra dry skin (flaky, cracked).

I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a great body lotion that doesn't take long to absorb into the skin and that you can rely on to provide hydration to your skin even if you miss a few days of using it. Lux Exotic Oil Infusion Body Wash review

I love a good body wash, something that will help my skin feel sparkling!

I have never used Lux body washes, so I picked this one up a few months ago at Priceline. The Lux Exotic Oil Infusion body wash, that comes in a handy bottle with flip top lid, easy to grip and love the packaging, purple is one of my favourite colours.

The entire Lux range is 100% soap free and produces a pH balanced skin cleansing lather.

Lux says: Live an exotic life with Lux Exotic Oil Infusion Body Wash. With a fusion of Moroccan oil extracts this body wash may help you infuse that exotic feel into every day.

This has a absolutely gorgeous smell of moroccan exotic extracts, that leaves the skin smelling really good. The scent will linger on the skin too which is relaxing. The exotic oil formula has extracts of anise and cumin oils.

I use all my body washes with a exfoliating glove. The texture of the body is a soft creamy coloured wash. This body wash feels like it is deep cleaning the skin, as it has little exfoliating bits in it and makes the skin feel soft and moisturised. It gives the skin a feeling of being refreshed and relaxed.

This is a great body wash if you want soft, moisturised and great smelling skin. There are a variety of Lux body washes to choose from.

Stubbies school wear sunsmart clothing range

The one most important piece of advice I give to my children is to protect their skin from the sun. The sun can be so harmful it is extremely important especially for children who are playing outside to be wearing sunscreen on at all times. We all know that sun exposure is a significant contributor to the lifetime risk of skin cancer.

When I was contacted to review the Stubbies schoolwear sun smart clothing line I was very excited and impressed. Stubbies school wear is a full range of light weight school uniform items with 50+ UPF. The range are made with tighter woven material to block out about 97 per cent of the ultraviolet radiation that causes sunburn. All products have been tested to comply with Cancer Council Australia’s SunSmart standards.

 I was sent a Stubbies school wear polo shirt. The shirt has a button front, revere collar, under arm vents and curved hem with side splits. My son tried it on and he really liked the way it felt on him. He loved that it was so comfortable and loose fitting.

 

I am so happy that Stubbies have introduced the sun smart range. I constantly worry about my son playing outside at school between 10am to 3pm, because harmful UV rays can pass through woven fabrics and reach a child's skin.
