I love trying out skincare and there is a lot out there. In the last few months I have been using the Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Shine Control Moisturising Day Cream SPF 15. Most of you may agree with me, that Nivea is a pretty good brand in terms of skincare and very affordable.
I have combination skin and get a oily T-zone during the day so anything that can help with this is great. The Shine Control Moisturising Day cream is designed for combination/oily skin types and is to help shine control. Exactly what I need!
Nivea says - Well balanced moisture together with a regulation of sebum production are essential for your skin to make it look beautiful, shine free and smooth. NIVEA VISAGE DAILY ESSENTIALS SHINE CONTROL MOISTURISING DAY CREAM enriched with Anti-Shine Complex and UV Filters supports the natural balance of your skin:
•Regulates your skin's oil balance to diminish shininess of the oily facial zones.
•Hydrates your skin without clogging pores.
•With SPF 15 and extra UVA filters it helps to protect your skin from environmental influences and premature skin ageing.
The packaging is a great size 50ml that will last for a few months. It is easy to handle and great for travelling. It has a screw top which is ok, but I do prefer flip tops just easier to use I think.
The product textures is a soft cream that has a slight fresh smell which is nice. This is easy to apply and the cream absorbs into the skin quite well. You don't need a lot of product, if you do overuse too much your skin will become oily and you won't feel that it works. It is trial and error to work out exactly how much product you need to make this work for your skin, but once you know it is great.
I love this cream and find that it does do what it says, it controls the shine on my face. Usually by about 2pm or 3pm my face does get shiny on the t-zone, but with the Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Shine Control Moisturising Day Cream SPF 15 it doesn't. This really works to control the shine as long as you use the correct amount. I use this under makeup and alone and it works great both ways.
I like that it has SPF 15 in it, although I do prefer SPF 30 to protect my skin more from the sun.
I would recommend the Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Shine Control Moisturising Day Cream SPF 15 to anyone that has combination/oily skin and wants to see if this will control your shiny t-zone. This is available at department stores and supermarkets for $12.95 AUD.
