KCAP Architects & Planners and interior architect Jan des Bouvrie designed the Kopblok residential tower on Wijnhaven Island in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It was completed 2009. The tower rises 124m, a full 40 floors with vertical red bars over an aluminum facade. A shorter pentagonal building cantilevers over the river Maas and historic city port. The project has in all 231 living units, with offices, stores, and restaurants.
