WHITE PANTS - MUST HAVE FOR THIS SPRING

Hello my dear friends! Hope all is well! It is spring on the calendar, but here in NY it feels like summer is here. And for me white pants are must haves for a warm season. Especially the ones I bought in Rome:-)
Past weekend me and my favorite photographer visited amazing place called Tower Mews. This place was originated by a local art colony and looks to me like a piece of France.

Love these 2 colors together. 

The hair style was inspired by the movie "Something about Mary", but it my case it was only a hair spray:-)

I love mixing blue and green together - such a fresh combo, especially when it is complimented with white.

I had no idea I look so good when I am angry:-))))))

And I almost forgot to mention that entire outfit is under $30!

Kio Kio body care range - body lotion and body mist review

If your looking for a luxurious product that you will fall in love with straight away, it will definitely be the Kio Kio range!

I had never heard of Kio Kio so was interested to see what they were like and straight away I can tell you -  they are beautiful.

The first product I tried is the Rainforest and Koromiko body lotion. The scent is described as Fragranced like a morning walk in the forest after it has rained. Koromiko renews and smoothes stressed skin. Koromiko was traditionally used in ritual ceremonies, as well as for healing skin complaints.

  
The product comes in a 240ml sturdy bottle with a pump for easy dispensing and the lotion is a really nice creamy texture, non greasy that moisturises the skin and feels hydrated for hours. It absorbs quite quickly and has a beautiful light scent that lingers on the skin and is gorgeous. 

I also tried the Kio Kio Pacific Tiare and Ti Kauka body mist. The scent is described as white flowers and citrus combine in this sparkling Pacific Ocean fragrance. Sweetly scented Ti Kauka is naturally cleansing and nurturing for the skin. Ancient people regarded this palm tree as a plant of good luck and fertility. It was traditionally used to heal skin.

The Body Mist comes in a 240ml bottle with a spray applicator. The body mist applies beautifully to the skin, once I spray it on I rub it in a little and it feels smooth and soft. The light scent leaves the skin feeling and smelling so pretty.

Overall the Kio Kio range is fantastic and a beautiful way to look after our skin knowing that the products are all natural made from natural bio active ingredients.

I recommend them for any skin type as they are light and absorb quite well. Beijing Tai Tai Book review

When I first heard of the book Beijing Tai Tai life, laughter and motherhood in China's capital written by Tania McCartney, I was curiously excited about the book. I have never travelled outside of Austalia, but plan to one day so I love learning more about life in different countries.

Beijing Tai Tai: a collection of shrewdly observed, heartfelt and humorous insights into Beijing expatriate life after Tania was forced to move her family there for four years. It’s a rollercoaster ride of honesty and openness as a mother and wife (tai tai) juggles suburban family life in urban Beijing.

I read this book and loved it. I couldn't put the book down, I just wanted to keep on reading to find out more about the life that Tania and her family were experiencing, living in Beijing.

Tania McCartney found out she would be moving with her husband and two children both under five years of age to Beijing -  she was scared! She didn't know what to expect and so she wrote about the experience in her book Beijing Tai Tai. I love the way Tania wrote this book, it is heartfelt, funny and so real.

A great book that allows the reader to take the journey with Tania and learn about what it was like to live in Beijing and experience the different culture, lifestyle and traditions of the people in China.
She writes about lots of different things, like how she dealt with Ayi (her maid) and her experience of having her hair coloured and how she ate Chinese food.

Tania is an Australian author of children’s books and adult nonfiction. She is an experienced magazine writer and editor, is the founder of respected literary site Kids Book Review and writes for several online websites. She has also been recruited by the National Year of Reading 2012 as state ambassador for the ACT.

FASHION ANIMALISTA

My post today is: a) to make you smile and b) to find out what you think about using animals in ads and fashion shows.

In my own opinion if animal is not harmed while making any ad, then I dont see any crime in it. Not mentioning of those animals-models that really enjoy modeling like Mr. Toki. New Yorker Julie Song began creating the stylish outfits in her spare time and has now designed a whole range of clothing and accessories for pet owners' 'fashion-forward felines'.

Ms Song uses her own cat Toki to model the collection in a series of professional online snaps, although she admits not all cats are fans of dressing up.

                                       Come on, guys, this is the real model that know how workin it:-)

Let's not forget about my own model, Mr. Max. And believe me there is nothing more he likes than modeling (except for food of course:-)

Hair colouring with Clairol Nice n Easy Foam

I have been colouring my hair for quite a few years now and usually get it done at the hairdressers, but in the last few years having been busy with the kids and work, I decided to colour it myself.

I have been trying out quite a few different ones and of course, have always found it hard to find the right colour that I like. They usually always turn out too dark on my hair or not enough staying power and they fade quite quickly. 

Recently I tried Clairol Nice n Easy colouring number 6 Light Brown and really liked it. The colour is really close to what I ideally want and it applies well. I tried out the foaming one recently and I really like that it is mess free.

You mix the tint and developer and with a pump bottle, you squeeze the bottle to get the product out. Using the gloves the idea of the foam is that it is easy to use and mess free, which it really is. The foam can be spread all over the head as if you are shampooing it, I did section off my hair and do it that way first before spreading it all over my head. Once the time was up, it rinsed out really well and let it dry naturally. I love the whole process, simple, easy and the colour turned out the way I wanted it to.

The result I got - picture taken two days after I coloured it!

Recently, I came across Celebrity Colourist and Nice’n Easy Colour Expert Belinda Jeffery's top tips for perfect hair colour:

Shade - When looking for a shade, always choose close to your natural base colour, and only ever 2 shades lighter or darker.

Skin tone - Your complexion is the key to making the right colour choice. If you have an ivory or creamy coloured skin, you can be as adventurous as you like. However, if you have a pale pink-toned or ruby complexion choose neutrals such as ash blonde, ash brown or dark brown.

Prep - Before applying Nice’n Easy colour, use some papaw or gel around your hairline to prevent
staining on the skin and that ‘just coloured’ look.

Roots- When touching up roots, always begin at the nape of the neck and work your way up to the front and hairline. Nice’ n Easy Root Touch Up is great for this.

Post - dye care - A must use product is the Clairol Nice’n Easy Colour Seal Gloss Treatment. The conditioning treatment comes in the pack, and leaves hair soft and shiny – plus it seals the hair shaft and locks in colour.

RED HAIR, PURPLE TOP AND....... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Hello lovelies! 

My post today is about my favorite color purple and the top that is about 5 sizes bigger than my size. LOL!

Below is my original idea with the purple wig, but after getting a lot of critic from my loved ones, I went "natural" - red and curly:-). Though, between us, girls, I actually love this purple wig (just dont tell nobody).

But in the end we discovered this absolutely spectacular park with gorgeous flowers, greeeeeen grass, unusual trees and a river. 

This tree looks so interesting - I was waiting for some wild creature to crawl out:-) So happy, it didnt happen:-)

There is something magnificent about pine trees.  Always have a soft spot for them.

And BTW, tomorrow is My Blog's 1st BIRTHDAY!!!

Past year was really tough for me and loved ones, but this blog was and is my happy island, the places with no worries or problems. I want to THANK all of you who took their precious time to read and comments on my posts, who became my bloggers friends. You mean a lot to me! Thank you again!
