Loreal Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer Review

I discovered primers a few years ago and really like the concept of a primer. A primer is applied after moisturising your face and before foundation as a base, to give you a more flawless look and make your makeup last longer.

I have tried a few and I have found that the Loreal Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer gives instant and really good results.

The silky, lightweight formula glides onto skin and minimises the look of pores and fine lines to transform your skin surface. Dermatologically Tested.

The Loreal Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer comes in a jar 15ml, you unscrew the top and dip your finger in to take out the product.
 

The texture of this is velvety smooth, thick creamy and applies smoothly and easy on to the skin. When applying this on to the skin it feels thick, but easy to blend onto the skin. I instantly see this covering my pores and redness creating a smooth even base, love it! That is exactly what I need for my skin and it works really well. I wait a few minutes and then apply my foundation on top, the foundation does apply easily over the primer.

This is great for all skin types except for excessively oily skin. I'd recommend this to anyone who has pores and redness that you want to cover up and create a nice base for your foundation. Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011 - Loreal Paris Runway 4

The Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011 continues. (You can check out yesterdays post and video if you missed it about the Loreal Paris Runway 1.)

Its been great watching the styles and designers showcase the most creative and gorgeous fashion.

Loreal Hair director Brad Ngata showcased casual elegance for hair at Loreal Paris Runway 4.
“The motivation was to create a wearable look that was clean, natural, and feminine essentially a style that could be translated at home” said Brad. The look is so easy, it literally is a hairstyle you can do after you shower, throw you hair back into a chic bun with minimal effort and maximum impact.

The steps taken to achieve this look are:
1. Apply hairspray to blow dryed hair in vertical stripes to create a rough finish.
2. Use a water spray to soften the hair, creating a slight wet look and encourage texture.
3. Use fingers to pull the hair straight back from the crown and pin sides of the hair at the nape of the
neck, creating a condensed messy bun. Secure with an elastic.
4. Apply a second layer of hairspray once again in vertical rows to set the look.

Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011 - Loreal Paris Runway 1

The Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011 is now on. LMFF is an annual celebration of fashion, design, business and creative endeavour. It has become Australia’s premium consumer fashion event offering a diverse range of activities that embrace fashion, the creative arts, social interaction and commercial ideas.
The LMFF each year is one of the largest most prestigious events on the Australian fashion calendar.


I loved the two looks created for the L’Oréal Paris Runway 1 by Hair Director Caterina Di Biase and her team of Session Stylists, first one which was all about the ponytail  - creating an extremely manicured tail of perfection. The second one was higly sculpted, showcasing mini - waves and soft disheveled ends.
