Frank Gehry designed the
Albert H. Vontz Center for Molecular Studies for the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was completed in 1999.
Red brick gently slopes along Gehry's characteristic curves in this $46 million project. The bloated forms of the prefabricated masonry panels seem to defy the material's abilities. Swathes of windows punch through to illuminate the white inside.
